Programme Structure

Daily Schedule

Monday - Thursday
The residents work to a structured and routine schedule. The following is only a guideline and while we work towards consistent structure in the programme, times and activities may vary due to circumstances or special events.

7.00am
Wake Up

7.00 – 9.00am
Shower and Dress

Breakfast 

Work duties: All residents are on a rota to complete various household duties from cleaning up after breakfast to vacuuming the hallways

9.00am
Class begins with praise and worship, followed by reading the bible together with group discussion

10.00am
Morning snack

10.15am
Class continues with a guest speaker, staff member or audio visual teaching material addressing the behavioural, emotional & spiritual aspects of life.

11.15am
Class concludes. Lunch preparation begins.

Once a week the 9.00 – 11.15am slot will be filled by a group session exploring subjects such as boundaries and anger management.

12.00pm
Lunch

1.45pm- 4.30pm
Fitness and recreation which may include:

  • Working out at the gym
  • Team sports
  • Trampolining
  • Helping out with community services
  • Art or dance classes
  • Walking the dog

Once a week residents have a one-on-one discipleship sessions with their facilitator, working through our programme called Choices that Bring Change.

Doctor appointments are attended as required. 

Free time to complete assignments arising out of the discipleship programme.

Dinner

7.15pm
Evening Class – this is similar to morning class, but allows for more discussion and questions

8.00pm
A study time after class specifically for homework arising out of the discipleship programme, personal reading or study 

8.45pm 
Evening snack

10.00pm 
Bed time

10.30pm 
Lights out

Friday - Sunday
Shopping, outings, DVDs, phone calls & church make up the weekends. The routine is more relaxed and there is plenty of free time. 

Every four to six weeks a resident will be given the opportunity to have weekend leave.
