Joy's Story

"I am so glad that I found Mercy Ministries because it's there that my life turned totally around. I'd been in a self-destructive cycle for many years and could find no way out. I never thought I could exist without feeling desperately low, but I decided to go to Mercy Ministries for one more attempt at life - to see if there was a better way of living or even if there was a reason to live.

In my six months at Mercy, I found that reason; I found an abundant life that is nothing like I'd ever known! I learnt to overcome my past and the effect it had on my life and I gained tools that enable me, even now, to walk through each day with my head held high and to cope with whatever life brings. Most importantly, I was transformed from being broken and dysfunctional into a young woman with a hope for the future, who is able to dream big! I thank God for bringing Mercy Ministries into my life!"
